Before Kettle’s Yard closed for significant refurbishment and new developments, the Education team ran a full and rich range of workshops and activities for all ages. Weds Club for 8-11 year olds was an after school club offering young people the opportunity to be inspired by the house and the gallery exhibitions, to create and make work in response to the art works. Co-taught by artist Alex Hirtzel and myself for several years, Wednesday afternoons at Kettles Yard were a hub of creative activity. Wonderful ideas and ideas were created and hugely and proudly valued by the artists, the Education team, the families of the young people and the young people themselves.
